Why the SEDD Generator Tool is for YOU

The Staged Electronic Data Deliverable (SEDD) Genertor Tool can support intensive data management systems that require routine delivery of complex sets of data for their operation. The SEDD Generator Tool is based on the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Extensible Markup Language (XML) standard that allows data requestors to publish their requirements in another W3C standard, the Document Type Definition (DTD). The use of DTDs in the SEDD Generator Tool allows data requestors to dynamically specify their data requirements without incurring any additional cost and to adapt the SEDD Generator Tool to accommodate data requirement change and expansion. An additional benefit of this XML-based delivery Tool is that the data user can use a multitude of third-party systems to process the XML files for data analysis and/or reporting.

The SEDD Generator Tool allows any authorized data requestor to:

  • Specifically define their data requirements;
  • Register their data requirements;
  • Easily modify their data requirements with minimal effect on the data provider’s data systems;
  • Track changes to those requirements; and
  • Receive electronic data deliverables securely via the Internet or other preferred manner.

The SEDD Generator Tool is not only flexible, but it also allows for requirement changes to be made at a minimal cost. If you routinely request or provide data reports produced by complex data systems and changes to data requirements are very costly to you, then the SEDD Generator Tool is for you.
