Purpose of the Staged Electronic Data Deliverable (SEDD) Stand-Alone Tool

The SEDD Stand-Alone Tool allows users to generate Extensible Markup Language (XML) deliverables independent of an Internet connection. The Stand-Alone Tool is designed to contain the same basic features as the Web-Based Tool, with the following additional enhancements:

  • Automatic install/uninstall process;

  • Multi-database connection support; and

  • Document Type Definition (DTD) file management functionality.

The SEDD Stand-Alone Tool is supported by the following:

  • Operating Systems - Microsoft® Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT, and XP.

  • Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) Databases - Oracle, Microsoft Access, Structured Query Language (SQL) Server, and MySQL.

Directions for Download and Installation

Follow the directions listed below to download and save the following ZIP file to your hard drive:

Unzip the file and save the unzipped files to be stored at the same location as you saved the ZIP file. Double-click on the SEDDSetup.exe file to install the SEDD Stand-Alone Tool. The installer directions will guide you through the installation process.

The SEDD Stand-Alone Tool's User's Guide describes the SEDD Stand-Alone Tool concept, its environment, and its design objectives. It also provides detailed instructions for accessing and utilizing the SEDD Stand-Alone Tool command buttons and window components.
